Group History
Snow Man is a nine-member group from one of Japan's most popular talent agencies, Johnny's & Associates. They are a unit that specializes in dancing and acrobatics.
Before 2012
Name & Formation:・Mis Snow Man (MSM)
・January 2009
・For a stage play called, Takizawa Kakumei.
・Members: Sanada Yuma, Nozawa Yuki, Onodera Ikki, Fukazawa Tatsuya, Sakuma Daisuke, Watanabe Shota, Miyadate Ryota, Iwamoto Hikaru, Abe RyoheiChanges:・Onodera Ikki transferred to M.A.D. in June 2009.
・Abe Ryohei went on hiatus to focus on his studies in 2011.
・Sanada and Nozawa were separated from the group in 2011 to form their own unit, Noon Boyz.
2012-2018
Name & Formation:・Renamed as 'Snow Man' on May 3rd, 2012.
・Happened during Takizawa Kabuki where the group name appeared on screen behind them while they were performing.
・Members: Fukazawa Tatsuya, Sakuma Daisuke, Watanabe Shota, Miyadate Ryota, Iwamoto Hikaru, Abe RyoheiActivities:・Took part in Takizawa Kabuki every year.
・Had their own shows such as Crea.
・Acted in Shounentachi with SixTONES since 2015.
・Received their first song as 'Snow Man' in 2015.
・Acted in a movie (Last Hold) together and appeared in various music videos.
・They've also backed for various seniors such as Kis-My-Ft2, A.B.C.-Z and Tackey.
2019 Onwards
Changes:・On 17th January 2019, it was announced that Snow Man will be adding 3 new members to the group.
・Members: Fukazawa Tatsuya, Sakuma Daisuke, Watanabe Shota, Miyadate Ryota, Iwamoto Hikaru, Abe Ryohei, Mukai Koji, Meguro Ren, RaulActivities:・Main act for Takizawa Kabuki ZERO.
・Had a solo concert at Yokohama Arena.
・Took part in Johnny's IsLAND Festival with Travis Japan & Naniwa Danshi.
・Starred in their first commercial as a group, Rock Ice.
・Took part in Jr. Matsuri on 8th August 2019 where their (and SixTONES') debut was announced. They also announced the launch of their official Weibo account.
・Officially launched their fanclub on 20th November and their YouTube channel on 25th December. Their solo YouTube channel was announced on 18th December 2019.
・Their debut was on 22nd January 2020 and sold over 700k copies according to Billboard. Their total sales combined with SixTONES' 'Imitation Rain' sold over 1.3 million copies in Oricon charts.
・They have their own variety show called "Sore Snow Man ni Yarasete Kudasai" which started airing on 25th March 2020.
